About Me:
I seem to be introduced under a number of names, filmmaker, environmentalist, humanitarian etc etc
I have been working on environmental and social justice documentaries for the last 8 years and speaking out about ancient forest destruction and the plight of the Amazon and the indigenous who live there.
Since 2000 I have been working in the Ecuadorian Amazon, I was first asked by 5 environmental groups to spend 6 months living in the jungle filming the rare pink river dolphin. The oil companies wanted to drill in the lagoon where the dolphins live and were denying their existence there.
After spending such a period of time in the jungle I became deeply connected to it and wished to help out. I was distraught to learn of the horrific polution left by the oil industry and knew I needed to help not only the environment but the indigenous people, the true guardians of this land.
The oil companies have left such a toxic mess and now there is not a drop of clean drinking water and has one of the highest cancer rates in the world. The unlined waste pits have a mixture of oil, heavy metals and radioactive substances which seeps down into the water table.
Children are covered in skin lessions and there is an incredible assortment of disease due to the contamination.
I have initiated a project to install simple rainwater catchment systems in the short term and introduce mycorestoration in the long term.
Mycoremediation is the use of local fungi to break down chemicals and petroleum.

As an independent filmmaker I am always looking for funding and help with distribution. if you are also passionate about getting environmental and social news out to the world please contact me for further information.
I have been travelling the world for 14 years (clocking up the carbon miles) wondering what my life was all about, just wanting to help this gorgeous planet. When I asked myself one day in meditation I got the clear reply “You are an environmental missionary”. So be it….I will do whatever I can to spread the word and convert all I meet to love, honour and respect this beautiful Earth, our home.
